Football
Hello, I’m
going to guide you through how to play football. First you’ll need the right
equipment, here is some stuff that you will need to play a football match by
the rules: football shoes, a couple of pads, football socks, shorts and a
sweater/t-shirt.
There are
many positions you can play. Those are goalie, defender, midfielder and
striker. Some people might enjoy being a benchwarmer to, who knows?
A football
match always starts with a kick-off, after that the game begins. If your team
kicks the ball out from the pitch the other team gets a throw-in. The opposite
will happen if the other team kicks the ball out. But this doesn’t accrue on
the sides where the goals are put out, only on the long sides. If the ball goes
out on the short sides it can be a corner or a goal kick. If your team shoots
out the ball on your short side of the pitch, it will be a corner for the other
team. If their team shoots out the ball on your side of the pitch it will be a
goal kick.
Free kicks
can accrue when fouls is committed. If someone on your team tackles someone (like
pushes or slide tackles the wrong way) in the goalkeepers area it will be a
penalty. Everyone has to stand behind the one who’s going to take the penalty.
If you
score a goal in the ball will “reset” and go to a kick-off. A football match lasts differently depending
on how old you are. The professionals play 2*45 (90 minuets) and play on a
11man pitch.
It’s a
couple of rules in football that you need to know about. I suggest you read
about them.
The goalie
is the protector of the goal and needs to communicate a decent amount to help
out the team. For an example if the ball is coming and a defender doesn’t know
if the goalkeeper going to take it or not, it can emerge misunderstandings and lead
to something bad.
Defenders
job is quite obvious but still hard to play good. Your job as a defender is
mostly defending but sometimes you can help your team on the attacking side.
Midfielders
job is to go to the defenders and pick up the ball, and then try to pass it
forward. They need to run very much to help the whole team.
Strikers/Forwards
job is to score goals. They need to think efficient when they run and are often
very good at dribbling the ball and finishing.
